Lately, during my daily runs, I’ve been spending time with the Founders Podcast by David Senra, and it’s been a powerful reminder of the value of learning directly from history’s greatest leaders and entrepreneurs.

Thought-provoking...

What stands out is the discipline of studying primary sources such as biographies, letters, interviews rather than opinions. Patterns emerge.

• Charlie Munger reinforces for me that leadership is about principles, patience, and long-term thinking. Many of the best decisions I’ve made in business came from slowing down, thinking clearly, and avoiding unnecessary complexity.

• Jiro Ono reminds me that true leadership is quiet: showing up every day, caring deeply about quality, and setting the standard through action. That mindset has shaped how we build teams and systems—especially when no one is watching.

• Michael Dell highlights the power of focus and capital discipline. Staying close to customers and being thoughtful stewards of resources has allowed us to grow sustainably, without losing our values.

As an entrepreneur, I’ve learned that building a business and building people are inseparable. And through philanthropy, I’ve seen that long-term impact comes from the same principles — patience, consistency, and genuine care for the future.

History leaves clues. Studying the greats has helped me lead with more clarity, build with more intention, and give back with a longer view.

Highly recommend the Founders Podcast to anyone serious about leadership, entrepreneurship, and creating impact that lasts.
